Cool Chrismas Gifts

When my grandchildren where small all they wanted to eat was grilled cheese sandvich. They were very meticulous of what they eat and mealtime was a struggle.
Sounds familiar? I had to come up with something, so I started to cook a variety of vegetable, pureed, and hid in the spaghetti sauce. They loved it and never knew the difference.

The other day somebody asked me, what I think about school uniforms.
I believe it is a good idea.
Children come to school from different financial backgrounds and that could create a social divide. Kids whose parents are not well off cannot buy expensive cloths. Those kids may feel left out less important, envious. All this feelings will influence they performance, how they feel about themselves values angry with the parents.
Uniforms would eliminate most of these things. At least in school they would look the same.
The hardest and most responsible job is to be a parent. The children are the future and a child that comes from a loving well-balanced family setting, is less likely to do drugs, engage in sexual activity, steel or lie. Parents are the models and the rock in the children is growing up stages. Money has nothing to do with it

For grandparents like me this is the time of year when I have to put on my thinking cap for organizing on a budget the gifts to my family
Not an easy task, but doable. I make a list starting with my four grandsons, they wife is where applicable and my only great granddaughter. Next my two sons and they spouses and here is when I stop.

It is getting cold today. The temperature in my neck of the woods is 4C which I think is 36F. For sure, winter is on its way and so are the holidays.

The other day I visited a friend and together we vent to see her grandchildren. They had a very large playroom in the finished basement and it was littered with toys, all kind of toys. wind up toys, mechanical toys computerized toys stuffed toys games books. All this for two children.
I remember when I was a child, I had a rag doll a pram for her and wooden toys and blocks. When we played alone or with other children we used a lot of imagination.
I wonder, where we better off or to days children are with large playrooms filled to the brim with toys ? What you think. would be interesting to hear some of your comment.

Renovation

I needed two drawers in my small gale kitchen to de clatter the counter tops and free some cupboard space. A new handyman was recommended by a friend who assured me that he is fantastic, and he was, also very meticulous. Drove me crazy.

He build two deep drawers and on the top of it under the counter a fake drawer and when I pull that out it is a table for eating.
After the kitchen was done all off a sudden the living room needed painting and after that the bedroom and bathroom.
Now i am in a mess but it will look wonderful and I am happy and BROKE
